Ocean Springs High School would like to invite you to the Greyhound Invitational to be held at the Gulf Islands National Seashore Park Saturday, Oct. 24th beginning at 9:00am. There is an entry fee of $25.00 per school. If you are hosting a Coast meet this season, we will trade out entry fees. Please make checks payable to Ocean Springs Athletic Department and address them to Ocean Springs High School, 2320 Government St. Ocean Springs, MS 39564, Attention Tim Sayers. You may bring your checks to the meet.

Trophies will be awarded to each team winner in the varsity and junior high races. Additionally, individual recognition will be presented to the top 10 runners in each of these races. Only varsity and junior high school races will officially be scored. Coaches will self-time runners in the JV races.

You may enter a maximum of 7 runners in the varsity races, but you may enter an unlimited number of runners in the junior high and junior varsity races.

Meet Schedule:
8:45am- Coach’s Meeting 11:00am- JV Girls
9:00am- Varsity Girls 11:30am- JV Boys
9:30am- Varsity Boys 12:00pm- Elementary Fun Run (1/2 mile)
10:00am- Junior High Girls 12:15pm- Awards
10:30am- Junior High Boys

Directions: From I-10, take exit 57 and head south on HW 57. At the first light, turn right on Ocean Springs Rd./Vancleave Rd. Follow until it intersects with HW 90 right by Ocean Springs Hospital (about 4.5 miles) and turn left at the light onto HW 90. Almost immediately (0.15 miles) turn right into the park on National Seashore Parkway. Follow until you take your first right on Park Rd. (1.68 miles). Stay on Park Rd. for less than a mile until you come to the park area.

We will be using a new computer program to tabulate the results. Please email your top 10 varsity runners and all of your junior high runners to tsayers@ossdms.org, or fax it to 228-875-3496 by Tuesday, Oct. 20th.
